Beach Shack is the perfect no-fuss getaway for surfers, families, or groups seeking an affordable yet comfortable spot to base themselves. With its unbeatable location just 100 metres from the main entrance of One Mile Beach, you’ll have easy access to one of the area’s most beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming, surfing, and relaxing by the ocean. Plus, the Forster Golf Club is only 300 metres away, providing a great opportunity for a day on the greens or an easy holiday meal.
While the property is set for a renovation in April 2025, it’s packed with character and full of charm. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. The first features a comfortable double bed, while the second is ideal for groups or families, offering three single beds, a ceiling fan, and air-conditioning. The upstairs kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, making it easy to prepare a quick snack; with the adjacent dining area offering a modern setting for four. The casual lounge, furnished with a comfy sofa and Smart TV, along with the additional sitting area, provides plenty of space for groups to spread out. The upstairs living areas are equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning for guest comfort. The bathroom on this level includes an open shower, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
Downstairs, you’ll find the covered alfresco area, perfect for enjoying meals together, complete with a six-seater dining setting and a casual lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, and plenty of bench space. It connects to the downstairs living room which includes a Smart TV and air-conditioning. Also on this level, there are two additional bedrooms, both with walk-in wardrobes—one with a King-sized bed and the other with a Queen-sized bed. These bedrooms share the bathroom on this level, which includes a shower, toilet, and vanity.
Please note, there is no internal access between the floors, so to move between floors, guests need to utilise the external staircase.
While Beach Shack is due for a renovation in 2025, it’s the relaxed vibe that sets it apart from the more polished properties nearby. It’s perfect for groups who don’t need anything fancy but appreciate the essentials and the incredible location. The rates reflect the home’s current condition, making it terrific value for a property in one of Forster’s most sought after locations.

Although One Mile Beach is a quieter side of town, it offers stunning natural attractions galore and one of the friendliest seaside golf courses on the north coast.
At the northern end you’ll find Bennett's Head Lookout, offering 360 degree views from The Tanks, right down to Cape Hawke and One Mile Beach. It also boasts the giant sandhill, a popular attraction for sand sliding and boarding. Plus there's a stretch of white sand where dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the waves, and if you’re there at the right time, you might spot whales migrating.
South of One Mile Beach you’ll find Burgess Beach – a secluded, sheltered beach hidden by vegetation and accessed by a steep path. Although it doesn't have the facilities of some of the larger beaches it’s a great spot for families, as it offers rock pools and small rock cave formations to explore.
One Mile Beach is a perfect choice for guests looking to enjoy the simple joys of nature, and the convenience of proximity to the CBD.

This property is 146 kilometres from Newcastle Airport or approximately 3.5 hours’ drive (315 kilometres) from Sydney Airport.
Once you are in Forster, anything further than walking distance is only a short taxi ride away.
