The beach itself is a secluded, sheltered beach hidden by vegetation and accessed by a steep path. Although it doesn't have the facilities of some of the larger beaches it’s a great spot for families, as it offers rock pools and small rock cave formations to explore. Heading south, you’ll find Cape Hawke Lookout, a superb lookout offering wonderful bird-watching, a stunning vantage point to view whales migrating (at the right time of year), and a breathtaking view, spanning out as far as Barrington Tops and Crowdy Bay National Park on a clear day. Those rewards make it worth every step of the 500m hike. Still looking for something to do? Check out the giant sand hill at One Mile Beach and try your hand at sand sliding and boarding – a popular attraction for kids and kids at heart!
